Introducing my spirit guide Fred.

I first became aware of Fred in 2004 when I was attending a seminar organised and run by the well known TV Psychic Tony Stockwell. Debbie was one of the tutors and although I knew her by sight and to say hi to, we were relative strangers at that time. I had just come out of a class and was feeling a little despondent. We had been trying to link with our guides during that session and 'see' who was working with us from spirit. Nothing had happened for me. I was very fed up and was wondering if I had whatever it took to be a medium at all. Most of my classmates had succeeded with the exercise and had a clear idea of who their guide was (some being very exotic e.g. Cleopatra and King Arthur) and I had no idea at all.

I was sitting outside alone, wondering what I was doing wrong when the lovely Debbie came and sat down beside me. She asked me what was wrong and I blurted out my story and how rubbish I was and asked 'what on earth am I doing wrong'? Debbie listened to my tale of woe (bless her) and simply said 'wait there a minute' and off she went into the building, appearing a few minutes later with a sketch pad and pencil. Debbie sat down next to me and within a couple of minutes the drawing above appeared on the paper. I was mesmerised. I had never seen Debbie or any other spirit artist work before and couldn't believe the speed with which the picture appeared. That coupled with the fact that the whole thing had been done with Debbie's eyes closed just blew me away. Hence, I was introduced to Fred for the first time. Debbie explained he was a miner from the north of England and was quite a beligerent kind of guy. You need this personality around you Debbie explained to me.

A few moments later we were called back into class so there was no more time for me to share the picture with anyone or to ask Debbie anymore questions about it. Our tutor outlined the afternoon session and once again we were to try and link with our guides but with a twist. This time we were going to attempt to link with each others guides and see if it made any sense to us given our previous session that day. There was an odd number in class and as the tutor paired us off one was left over. That was me. I was lucky enough to work with the tutor that afternoon and lo and behold guess who she described as my guide? Yes, the lovely Fred. What a fantastic validation for me and how amazing of the spirit world to make all of this happen. I finished the day walking on air. I will never ever forget it as long as I am on this earth.

A few years after that event magical though it was, I now realise that it is not always that important to 'know' who is working with you and guiding you from spirit. Trust and faith is the key and when your guide feels you are ready and if they feel it is needed they will make themselves known to you in whatever form they feel you need. My Fred of course is energy. He has no need of a physical form any longer. He shows himself to me in a way that makes sense to me and fits perfectly with my personality. I need a strong character to help me and Fred fits the bill perfectly. So, thanks to Fred for everything and to Debbie for making it possible.
